Well, we made it through the first check in of summer here at Mount Hermon pretty much without a hitch. I’m hoping things go really well this summer now that I’ve got one summer under my belt.

After the Summit Fire a few weeks ago I discovered that one of the best places to go for fire updates is straight to the source. Here is the link to the CAL Fire Incident page.
. . .though not in a good way today. As I post this there is a 300+ acre fire burning in the community of Bonny Doon about 5 miles from Mount Hermon. The sad part is that people are going to lose their homes and this the weather is not good for fighting [...]
