So my team has been gangbusters since day one now. Grady Sizemore leads the majors in HR’s and my pitching continues to be lights out. My team ERA so far is .87, Smoltz is the only pitcher I have who has given up an earned run! Obviously I am not going to perform like this every week, but I am feeling pretty good about my chances at this point. I would still like to add a solid third outfielder though. Byrnes is my current third OF and he has gotten off to a hot start but if I could get a bat like Mags or Dye then I would feel even better about my team. I was thinking today also about maybe packaging a couple of offensive players for a fifth starter. I’m a little bit concerned that wins and k’s could be an issue if I face someone else with five or six starters.

I just finished making hamburger patties for tomorrow night. I put out an open invitation for a BBQ and watching the Giants-Dodgers baseball game so hopefully people turn out, otherwise I’m going to be having BBQ burgers for the next week. It would just be nice to have people actually show up at a party I throw for once! Anyway, better head for bed now. Peace!
