Bush just finished his address to the public but he didn’t really say anything new. There was a lot more talk about getting the Iraqi’s to step up and speeding up training and handing over control and blah blah blah. I agree an increase in the number of troops on the ground is going to make a difference in keeping area’s secure after they are cleared of insurgents but the problem is that he didn’t say anything that hasn’t been said already. I don’t see why we haven’t been doing for the last year and a half what he is proposing to do now. Hopefully we will start seeing changes in the coming months as more troops arrive.
